Memorials
A memorial page is a gentle digital space to honor someone (or a beloved pet) through a name, story, photos, and tributes. You can choose Public, Private (link-only), or Invite-only access.
Yes. When you create a memorial you can choose:
- Public: searchable and shareable
- Private: accessible only via the link
- Invite-only: extra control for sharing within a small group
Your memorial page will be reviewed and go live within 24 hours of submission. If something needs clarification (such as missing information or a file issue), we’ll email you.
No. Qiyuan is an independent cultural remembrance platform inspired by East Asian traditions. We are not a temple, and we do not claim guaranteed spiritual outcomes. Our mission is to help families create meaningful digital memorials and arrange optional remembrance offerings with transparency.
Yes. On eligible plans we can enable Family Contributors so loved ones can upload photos and leave tributes, with page owner controls. For Free pages, you can still collect tributes and send them to us for publishing.
Yes. Minor text and image edits are free for 48 hours after your page goes live. After that, we can still help — just contact Support with your page link and the requested changes.
Your memorial page remains available according to your plan, account status, and platform terms. We design our memorial pages for long-term remembrance, but we do not make absolute “forever” guarantees. For details, please review the terms of your specific plan.
The free memorial includes a dedicated memorial page where you can add the honoree’s name, dates, a tribute message, and choose privacy settings. Family and friends can visit and leave messages. Optional remembrance offerings (such as lamps or dedications) are available separately at clearly listed prices.
Practices (Lamps / Dedications / Reflection)
Lamps are symbolic offerings for cultural remembrance. You choose a duration (for example, 1 / 3 / 7 / 15 days), submit a dedication name or message, then proceed to checkout.
A dedication is a written intention (name + message) submitted for remembrance. Some users submit dedications for observance days (such as Qingming or Ullambana) or as a personal gesture of remembrance and reflection.
No. Our services are offered for cultural remembrance only. We do not promise spiritual efficacy, supernatural outcomes, or religious guarantees. What we do promise is clear pricing, honest documentation, and respectful service.
For eligible offerings, we provide photo documentation or written confirmation after the service is completed. In some locations, photography may be restricted — in that case, written confirmation or an official receipt will be provided instead. Documentation is typically delivered within 48 hours after fulfillment.
Offerings are arranged through selected partners or service providers in the relevant location listed on the service page. The exact format, timing, and documentation details are explained before purchase. Qiyuan is not affiliated with any temple or religious institution.
Orders & Delivery
Go to Practices, choose an option, fill in the dedication details, then proceed to checkout. The submitted details are stored with your order for fulfillment.
If your request has not yet been fulfilled, we can usually adjust names or messages. Please contact support as soon as possible with your order number.
If a service has not started or been fulfilled, we can typically help. If it has already been fulfilled, refunds may be limited. Please contact support and we’ll review the request case by case.
Privacy & Safety
We do not sell personal data. We use your information to deliver your memorial page, fulfill orders, and provide support. For sensitive memorials, consider using Private or Invite-only mode.
We may remove content that violates basic safety standards, including hate, harassment, explicit abuse, or illegal content. If you see an issue, contact support with the page link.
Troubleshooting
Try refreshing the page, then try a different browser or a private window. If it is still blank, contact support with the page URL and a screenshot.
That usually means the option is temporarily unavailable in Shopify. Please choose another option or contact support and we’ll fix the listing as soon as possible.
Check your spam or junk folder, then wait up to 24 hours. If you still don’t see anything, contact support with the email address you used and the honoree name.
